This is always the hard part. I like to learn more about people then I like telling about myself. I have lived a pretty normal life(relatively speaking) but I love to hear about all of the cool things that everybody else has done. That being said I don't just sit down and watch life pass me by. I try and do everything I can. I love sports, mostly playing them, and anything outside, but I am willing to try other things as well. I'm working on a cross stitch that will probably take me the rest of my life but one day I will hang that from my wall and be buried with it. K, that's a little creapy, let's say I will just be happy to have actually finished it. I love music. Just saw Panic! At the Disco. and loved them, but I love classical, jazz, blue grass, oldies, punk, and other samplings of music. And that is all you get in this because my fingers hurt. :)

So,here's the story, I am an incredibly charming woman who loves to travel excessively to places near or far, local or exotic in nature. A few of the more exciting places I've been include Israel, Finland, Estonia, Russia, Mexico, Panama, Morocco and Italy. I've also been to less exciting places including Declo, Idaho and Camden, Utah. Obviously I am open and willing to travel suggestions and recommendations. A nice drive in the mountains or around town works as well.

I am a voracious reader who enjoys the wide range of materials from trashy airplane novels to modern classics such as Bel Canto and everything in between. I can even enjoy something sports related such as Rammer, Jammer, Yellow Hammer. I have an obsession with biography. Please don't take this to mean that I have no life, I am simply a fan of knowing the motivations and stories behind other peoples worlds...

Also important to me is laughter. If you can make me laugh I will certainly respond. Humor is individual and a man's ability to gauge what will interest me is quite appealing.

I am a music and movie junky. I listen to everything from Zero 7 to Snow Patrol to Pink Floyd and more. I will admit to buying cd's simply because I have heard one song that caught my attention. I am rarely burned. I am open minded with music and have an abiding interest in swaying to the Gypsy Kings or line dancing to Garth Brooks. I attend the symphony on occasion and am always pleased to do so. Movie wise, I will watch just about anything although I will draw the line at certain sci-fi flicks. You will know that you've got me if I'm willing to see one. I can't get enough of good horror movies and am more than willing to watch B movies if they are worthy of mystery science theater 3000 (the only time science will come into my movie watching unless of course, you've got me hooked!)

I think I can safely say that I am utterly unlike anyone else you will ever meet. Right off the bat, I work in theater. That eliminates the vast majority of people, right there. I work as a costumer/makeup artist/production designer/scenic artist, which narrows the field even more.

Still not unique enough? Okay...I'm the resident costume designer for a burlesque troupe. And I'm straight. Yeah, it's kind of a dream job, and what's even more bizarre is I never asked for it, it just kind of landed in my lap. (I also used to act, and would love to still be doing it, but just about everyone around here only produces musicals. And I don't have time to deal with the demands of film work, unless it's a project I REALLY believe in--or it's my off-season, but winter makes for lousy work conditions for film, here.)

When I actually get time away from work, I like to go horseback riding, play volleyball or paintball, play card games or (selected) role-playing games with my friends...there's actually a lot of stuff I like doing, I'll try almost anything once. If I like it, I might even do it again. I've got a long list of 'trump cards' I can pull out when I play "Have you ever..."

I don't smoke, drink, or use drugs. I've got friends who do, and while I cringe at the thought of what they're doing to their bodies, it doesn't change the fact that they're good people . I've had a lot of people ask me why I don't do any of these things...quite simply, I've never wanted to. I'm quite content being the designated driver.

I have very deeply-held religious beliefs...among the strongest of which is that each person has to find their own way in life. I have friends of several different faiths, including a few of no faith whatsoever (unless you count faith in humanity). I'm not going to try and convert you, though if you ask me questions I'll try and answer as clearly as possible. As long as you're trying to be a good person, and show some general respect to the people around you, your religious affiliation (or lack thereof) is your business.

I'm a confirmed omnivore, quite content with the fact that nature selected elements of both carnivore and herbivore to incorporate into my anatomy. If that means I'm heaping bad karma on myself, for which I'll have to answer later...well, I can live with that. Your diet is your business, though, just please don't be offended if I offer you a soft taco without thinking about the fact that you may or may not eat meat. I mean well...

I believe in "Live and let live", "I don't mind if you do, if you don't mind if I don't", and in generally trying to show due respect to everyone around you. I don't believe in entitlements, political correctness, or the misguided need to deride and belittle people for the sake of entertainment. It's one thing if you're Don Rickles or some other comedian...but too many people have made it part of their daily lives.

I am tired of being a person I'm not, but I'd done it so long I'm not sure who I am now. Thus, this is an attempt at self-discovery. I want to be me, not a clone of my father (who can't seem to accept that I'm an adult and no longer need him). I'm tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes. I don't enjoy arguing, but I tend to be very good at it (I've read books on effective arguments for misc. English classes, and some of it stuck with me). I like to have fun, but I get embarassed when I (or others around me) make fools of themselves.

What can I say to enchant you............ Well I guess there is nothing to really say that would enchant you and still be honest. LOL! I am pretty easy going. I love to go fishing, camping, light hiking, long walks and a little romance would be wonderful. I also like to read, cook, entertain, do some outdoor stuff and hang out with those I care about. I like adventure and going to new places, but I also enjoy sitting at home.
I am looking for someone to date, be friends, etc. I am not looking for a one night stand or an "intimate encounter". I like to move slow and get to know someone. If it turns into something serious, great. If it turns out to be friendship, that is great too. I believe that the best beginning for a relationship is friendship.

Where oh where to start, so many interesting things to ramble on about! I am quite laid back; always happy to just go with the flow. At other times just pull something random and drive out to Wendover for a few hours. All depends on how random I am feeling at that time.

Per any normal profile, just have to throw in the music section. However my choice in music is a bit off for most people. I am, and very much enjoy being a 'metal head'. Now this certainly does not mean that is all I listen to, because lets face it, 80's music rules all. Naturally I try to hit up any I can manage; Ozzy, Megadeth, Metallica, Zombie, and AC/DC are a few I have managed to see live.

Outdoorsy stuff goes here! I love to go camping, be it with family or friends it is all good. Getting away from the people, noise and the BS of normal life for a few days is great. Throw in some fishing for added fun, and good eats that night over the camp fire. Plus liberal application of beer, or other fun times like 4-wheelers and the such. Honestly it, at least for me, does not get much better than that.

Random hobby stuffs. This area is rather broad as I find way too many things entertaining. Tech stuff comes quite natural to me, as such it is a given for me as a hobby and interest. Enjoy video games when I have time, be it testing my strategic thinking or just random stress relief shooting stuff. Really cannot go wrong with board games as well, except Risk. Oh how I loathe that game. Chess however? Sign me up! I also do still watch cartoons, because Bugs Bunny is just that good. Plus potty humor ala Simpsons and Family Guy is always a chuckle.

If all this is too much, or just doesn't sound fun at the time. A nice simple night at home is great as well. Kick feet up, grab a beverage of choice and toss on a movie.

Wow! I hate this part,but here goes: I am a pretty fun guy to be around and always try to keep a positive attitude. I'm intelligent and have been there done that. I've come to the conclusion that I really hate drama and don't want to waste my time with it since there are so many much better things I could doing. Life is too short to waste. I love meeting new people who can teach me or be taught new things. I'm at a point in my life that I would like to meet someone with a look to the future. i moved to utah about 6 months ago from japan. i'm originally from PA.
